Reacties van fans:
"What a fantastic night. The WHO may be 5 years older than the last time I saw them but they have actually improved with age. Rogers voice was definitely better than in 2004 & although Pete said he was "knackered" by the end it didn ’t show in his playing. Boy can that man windmill"
"Awesome show last night in Sydney. Pete had the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand"

Reacties van fans:
"Was short, sound was average. Early, roger got lost a few times but got better. Sparks and Amazing Journey great!"
"The boys played great and were in a great mood though Pete was getting the shits with someone’s camera flash blinding him now and then. 5:15 was outstanding as was You Better You Bet. Standard encore with Amazing journey being fantastic"
"Pete was witty tonight. Some guy kept asking him to smash his guitar. Pete responded that in the old days when he smashed his guitar it was the end of the show. If he smashed his guitar now, show’s over. He then looked at the guy and called him ( in a long drawn out way) a fucking idiot. All in all, I rate it higher than the 2004 show
".
"Thankfullly, they ditched Sister Disco and Eminence Front. It made the show tighter and punchier. The band was firing. Pete was amazing. I could watch him attack his guitar all night. Roger’s voice was  bit husky, but it was very dusty (which he moaned about later). Pete’s on-stage banter was funny as hell. He could be a stand up comedian. The highlights are obvious and everyone knows what they play. And they played it all superb. The crowd was going off after about the 5th song"
""Tea and theatre" – Ok, it’s an alright song. But to end a show with it???? Bizarre. A real let-down. Roger and Pete embraced after wards, and Pete said something to Rog that didnt look nice. Roger replied something too, then Pete lifted his arm from Rogers shoulder and held it in the air. Their is animosity for sure!

Reacties van fans:
"The boys were on fire and it was easily the best concert i’ve ever seen. The sound was incredible, so loud yet perfectly clear and suprisingly, Rogers voice was better than in ’04 (it was still great in ’04 though). Zak’s drumming was great, especially in Sparks and the solo in Won’t Get Fooled Again, Pino’s solo on My Generation dislodged some of my internal organs it was so loud and Simons backing vocals were top notch".

"I would love to find someone from a younger generation to take over from me", aldus Roger. It does take an awful lot of energy. I call it my ‘yearly breakdown’".

Interview met Pete in The Daily Telegraph

Hij praat onder andere over touren: "I donxe2x80x99t perform for enjoyment. I certainly donxe2x80x99t tour for fun. I am almost unique in this. (…) Backstage, I get sleepy, and want to curl up and snooze. I never get nervous, whatever the event. I feel quite detached until I walk on stage, and then some gear inside me clicks and off I go like a wind up doll. (..) I often donxe2x80x99t smile, but if I do xe2x80″ and I sometimes laugh without reason xe2x80″ Ixe2x80x99m afraid itxe2x80x99s because I suddenly feel the whole business of music for xe2x80x98entertainmentxe2x80x99 is ridiculous. But as soon as I come off stage I withdraw quickly, and go back to feeling sleepy".

Over het schrijven van nummers: "After the shows with you, I am settling down to try to write something new and different, or just somethingxe2x80xa6my song-writing process feels very different today. I donxe2x80x99t write for something we call xe2x80x9cThe Whoxe2x80x9d, (..) I just write music, or poems, or lyrics, or songs. If they work for Roger, or for me, we will record them. I may never manage to write such a song again, but as Endless Wire featured some of the most recent and least anthemic songs Ixe2x80x99ve ever written, therexe2x80x99s a good chance wexe2x80x99ll find something when Ixe2x80x99m done doing whatever I do in the summer of 2009".

De tour na de dood van John: "That 2002 tour was the last I ever intended to do with the band, and my mission was to make enough money for John so that he could get out of debt. He had some back tax, and a double mortgage to juggle. He died the day before the tour was meant to begin. I felt his mischievous and wonderful sense of irony in that"

Een nieuw album? "The album? Why not? (..) I just need to write and see what happens"

Zijn kleding op het podium: "I first wore a suit on stage in 1989 for the bandxe2x80x99s 25th anniversary tour. Many of my friends thought I looked like a twat. I had a pony-tail, suggested by my beautiful and elegant wife, obviously in an attempt to keep the groupies away from me. She was unsuccessful in her mission, and our marriage unravelled a few years later. I was quite handsome in 1989, though not as handsome as I am today".

Het einde van de windmill? "The arm-swing has a limited life I fear, I am starting to sense my arm is about to leave its socket"

Adelaide (26 maart)

Na Who Are You riep Pete: "Fuck off with your Gibson chants! Fuck off and see AC/DC!".

"Roger Daltrey is the greatest rock singer ever because he still is.  I could not believe his voice, sure it faded at times but to begin singing Love Reign Oer Me, stop it and ask it to be started again is testament to his pursuit of excellence.  Pete was in the most joyous mood and was very warm towards my little home town!"
"I’d have to say that Baba O’Riley was the highlight.  Apart from being one of the greatest tunes ever, imagine plenty of green lights flashing and a spotlight on Roger as he pumped out the harmonica finale.  It was truly compelling. The back projections were sensational and My Generation included a montage of youth subculture from every generation and culture.  Won’t Get Fooled Again blew us all away
".
"Last night’s gig in Adelaide was a barnstormer. Firstly the crowd was much better than previously. The band were in good form and again we got kids are alright and substitute".
