Roger: "No one really plays our music. It's a shame"

Over eventuele nieuwe nummers zegt hij meteen: "That's Pete's department". Er is dus geen teken van stoppen en de band zal blijven bestaan: "As far as we're both concerned".

Teleurstellend nieuws is er over releases van archiefmateriaal: "There isn't much archived. There is a second Live at Leeds concert, but other than that, really nothing".

"Psychoderelict" als stripboek

Psychoderelict-cover-large Er is een stripalbum uitgebracht over het album Psychoderelict van Pete. Dat valt te lezen op het blog van J Marc Schmidt. Hij schrijft: "I'll be at the 'Sixsmiths' table at the Supanova Pop Culture Convention this weekend. I'll have (…) hot-off-the-presses copies of Pete Townshend's first comic book Psychoderelict".

Pete bracht het album, met o.a. English Boy en Now & Then, uit in 1993.

Concert Roger in Milwaukee (28 juni)

RD
"It's an interesting experience being a support act", zei Roger. "It's good to be reminded where you came from."

Setlist:
I Can See For Miles
The Real Me
Behind Blue Eyes
Days of Light
Freedom Ride
Gimme a Stone
Who Are You
Goin' Mobile
Young Man Blues
Baba O'Riley

Reacties van fans:
"I read somewhere that Roger was going to stop swinging his microphone, but that wasn't the case last night. The band had a nice bit at the end of the Young Man Blues riff–where the drums extend wildly before the verse–where Roger would swing his mic and the band would stop when he caught it. Physically Roger seemed very good. His voice was strong and he was comfortable on stage. Looked like he was having fun"
"He opened for Clapton, so only an hour. Baba sealed the deal and had 20,000 people on their feet. Re Clapton, I am a passive fan, but he put on a good show.I had forgotten how little he speaks. His playing is spectacular, but he doesn't connect with the audience in any other way. Roger was engaging the crowd, telling jokes, etc. The contrast between the two was dramatic"
"If you have the chance to catch Roger on this tour, don't think twice–it's absolutely worth it"

Concert Roger in Kansas City (26 juni)

Setlist
Who Are You
The Real Me
Pictures of Lily
Behind Blue Eyes
Real Good Looking Boy
Freedom Ride
Days of Light
Goin' Mobile
The Kids Are Alright
I'm A Man/My Generation
I Can See For Miles
Squeeze Box
Naked Eye
Young Man Blues
Baba O'Riley
Bargain
Johnny Cash Medley
Born on the Bayou
Without Your Love

Reacties van fans:
"Right out of the gate, they were rocking the house. Was it because the damn crowd was standing all night? Was it because they were back to back shows with comparatively short travel time in between? I don't really know, but I know it was damn good"
"Goin' Mobile was fierce. Simon was powerful tonight, all night long, and at no time in the set is it more apparent than the way he now owns Goin' Mobile"
"They launched into a truly incendiary Young Man Blues, with a touch of Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere, and the now usual piece of Water. It was fucking fantastic. John, Scott, Simon, Frank – all wicked good. How a club band like this could do justice to this song truly boggles my mind, but they do"
"I didn't see or hear anything particularly boorish on Saturday night. Or, maybe I'm just a boor? This week, Rog did tell someone to "Go fuck yourself". It was in Las Vegas. As far as Rog's attendance figures go…well, it's a brutal concert season. And, I think it's safe to say that he got a nice pay check for the HP TechForum gig which will pay for this leg of tour.Good for Rog

"Squeeze Box is always well received with Roger interacting with the audience, getting the guys and gals singing along. A top night of Who songs were gratefully excepted apart from Days of Light and Bayou, still the dogs bollocks though!"
